Unemployment rate in Latvia reached 14.7% in November

Print versionAccording to the State Employment Agency's preliminary data, unemployment nationwide in Latvia has reached 14.7% as of November 16, 2009.

Officially registered with the state are over 164,000 jobless persons, writes LETA.
Data showed that unemployment has climbed in all parts of Latvia in October, but the highest figure remains in Latgale's now former Rezekne District at 30.4%.
The lowest unemployment rate was recorded in former Tukums District (Kurzeme Province) at 10%.
