Lithuania's exports fell by 8.4%, imports down 14.2% in H1
Exports of Lithuanian-origin goods alone declined by 12.3 percent to 7.711 billion euros.
Lithuania's foreign trade deficit for the six months narrowed to 323.4 million euros, from 1.35 billion euros in the same period last year, based on non-final data.
Excluding mineral products, overall exports declined by an annual 2.4 percent and imports went down by 7.5 percent. Exports of Lithuanian-origin goods alone decreased by 3.4 percent.
Lithuania's key export partners were Russia with 13.4 percent of the total exports, Latvia with 9.3 percent, Germany with 8.3 percent and Poland with 6.8 percent.
Poland topped the import rankings with 12.6 percent of the total imports, followed by Germany with 12.1 percent, Russia with 10.4 percent, and Latvia with 7.6 percent.
The key export markets for Lithuanian-origin goods were Germany with 10.6 percent, Sweden with 7.4 percent, Poland with 7.4 percent, Latvia with 6.8 percent, and the Netherlands with 5.9 percent.
In June from May, Lithuania's total exports rose by 11.7 percent to 2.198 billion euros and its imports were up by 14.5 percent to 2.247 billion euros. Exports of Lithuanian-origin goods alone jumped by 15.1 percent to 1.27 billion euros.
