MG Baltic earns profit of 103 million litas in 2007

The result of the reevaluation of investment capital reached 27.2 million litas (7.88 million euros) in 2007. In the previous year this figure stood at 90.6 million litas (26.23 million euros).
The consolidated sales of the concern stood at 1.422 billion litas (411.7 million euros) last year, an increase of 41.5% year-on-year. According to Darius Mockus, MG Baltic president, the main companies of the concern – Apranga Group, Stumbras, Mineraliniai Vandenys, LNK and Mitnija posted speedy growth last year, yet the crisis on the world financial market in autumn disturbed the plans of Stumbras and MG Baltic Media, a new group formed last year, to place additional shares on the capital market.
This year MG Baltic plans its consolidated sales to reach 1.792 billion litas (518.9 million euros), an increase of 26% compared to the previous year. The concern is going to invest 215 million litas (62.25 million euros) into the business areas that are currently under development.
