The highest inflation rates in EU registered in Lithuania and Estonia in October

Inflation in Latvia amounted to 2.7% this past October, which is one of the highest inflation rates in the European Union, according to Eurostat report released on Thursday. Lithuania and Estonia had the highest rates, informs LETA.
The highest
inflation rates were reported by Lithuania (4.2%), Estonia (4%), Great Britain
(3%) and the Czech Republic (2.8%).
Inflation was registered in all 28 EU member states.
The average annual inflation in the EU was 1.7%, while
consumer prices in the euro area increased 1.4% year on year.
Compared to September, consumer prices in the EU
increased 0.1% and in the euro area, also by 0.1%.
Consumer prices in Latvia increased 0.4% in October
when compared to the previous month.
Malta reported the biggest monthly deflation, 0.7%,
while Romania had the highest inflation - 1.1%. Consumer prices in Lithuania
increased 0.1%, while consumer prices in Estonia fell 0.4%.
