Rimi is leader of Latvia’s retail sector in 2016
Maxima Latvija was second with EUR 693.792 million in annual turnover, and Samsung
Electronics Baltics came third with EUR 281.017 million in turnover.
The industry’s top ten companies by turnover also included Sanitex with EUR 264.956 million in
annual turnover last year, Elagro Trade
with EUR 138.325 million, Lenoka
running Mego stores with EUR 134.417 million, Philip Morris Latvia with EUR 129.214 million, Contiplus Riga with EUR 102.513 million, Green Trace with EUR 96.607 million, and Linas Agro with EUR 95.028 million in sales.
As experts said, inflation in Latvia has been very low for the past years,
and just the end of last year and this year showed a slight growth.
Latvian Business Annual Report offers an overview of leading Latvian
companies in more than 60 sectors based on the data in their annual reports as
well as commentaries and forecasts by experts.
The report has been complied by Firmas.lv in cooperation with information
agency LETA, the Foreign Investors Council in Latvia, and researchers of the
Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and Oxford Research Baltics.
