Lithuania's annual inflation EU's highest in August

Print versionThe harmonized annual inflation in Lithuania in August was the highest in the 28-member European Union (EU), Eurostat said on Monday, cites LETA/BNS.

In August, inflation in Lithuania was 4.6%, standing at 4.2% in Estonia and at 3.2% in Latvia, the latest figures from the EU statistical arm showed.
All EU nations reported annual increase in prices in August, however, the Baltic rates were the biggest in the bloc.
Across the EU, average inflation was 1.7% and that in the euro area was at 1.5%.
