Over 70% Lithuanian households own PCs, have Internet access

73% Lithuanian households owned a personal computer and 75% had Internet access at home in the first quarter of this year, up by 1 and 2 percentage points year-on-year, respectively, a survey by Statistics Lithuania showed on August 18th, cites LETA/BNS.

Nearly all households with Internet access at home used broadband connection. 86% of the households had broadband wire connection or wireless fixed-line connection, while 46% used mobile connection.

 

Some 7,000 people aged between 16 and 74 years were polled for the household IT usage survey.
