Industrial production in Lithuania decreased by 0.6%
Over the month, seasonally and calendar adjusted, a decrease
in production was observed for manufacture of other transport equipment – 6.3%
(unadjusted – 14.8%), chemicals and chemical products – 5.3% (unadjusted – 16.9%),
wearing apparel – 4.5% (unadjusted – 27.1%), furniture – 4.3% (unadjusted –
18.8%), refined petroleum products – 4% (unadjusted – 5.5%).

In January–April 2017, industrial production totalled
EUR 6.4 bln at current prices, and against the same period of 2016, calendar
adjusted, increased by 5.4% at constant prices (unadjusted – 5.5%).

Changes in sales and services of mining and quarrying and
manufacturing enterprises in January–April 2017, against the same period of
2016.
The proportion of sales of industrial production on the
non-Lithuanian market increased by 0.1 percentage point (pp) and stood at 65.3%,
on the Lithuanian market – decreased by 0.1 pp and stood at 34.7%. The value of
sales to non-euro area countries accounted for more than half (54.6%) of the
total value of sales on the non-Lithuanian market.
The value of sales of the production of industrial
enterprises on the non-Lithuanian market increased by 14.8% at current prices.
The increase was determined by an increase in the sales of the production of
the manufacture of refined petroleum products (60.2%), fabricated metal
products, except machinery and equipment (39.5%), food products (8.1%). Refined
petroleum products excluded, the value of sales on the non-Lithuanian market
increased by 5.9% at current prices. The value of sales to euro area countries
increased by 10, to non-euro area countries – 19.1% at current prices.
The value of sales of industrial production on the
Lithuanian market increased by 14.3, refined petroleum products excluded – 8.8%
at current prices.
