Latvia`s GDP rose by 1.5 % in Q1

Print versionAccording to the flash estimate of the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB), in the 1st quarter of 2017, compared to the 4th quarter of 2016, the gross domestic product (GDP) value (seasonally and working days adjusted data) increased by 1.5%.

In the 1st quarter of 2017, as compared to the corresponding period of 2016, GDP grew by 3.9% according to seasonally and working days adjusted data, as well as non-adjusted data.
During the 1st quarter, the GDP was affected by a 10 % increase in the volume of industrial production, 8% increase in construction, as well as a 3% increase in the service sector.
