Lithuania and Latvia post exports decline in Jan-Nov 2016 among Balts

Lithuania and Latvia were the two Balts to post a decline in exports in the January-November period of 2016 year-on-year, while Estonia observed an increase, Eurostat said on Monday.
Exports dropped by 2% to 20.5 bln euros in Lithuania and by
1% to 9.9 bln euros in Latvia in the first 11 months of last year from 2015,
while Estonia posted an increase by 2% to 10.9 bln euros, the European Union's
(EU) statistical office said.
Lithuania's imports dropped 4% to 22.3 bln euros over the
period and Latvia's imports fell 3% to 11.6 bln euros, growing by 3% to 12.4 bln
euros in Estonia.
Among the Baltic states, the biggest trade deficit was
reported in Lithuania (EUR 1.8 b), followed by 1.7 bln euros in Latvia and 1.5 bln
euros in Estonia.
