Print versionOne in three businesses in Lithuania advertise online, one of the largest proportions in the European Union, figures from the EU statistics office Eurostat showed on Wednesday.

33%t of Lithuanian enterprises of 10 employees or more used Internet advertising in 2016. Higher shares were only recorded in Malta (46%), Sweden (42%) and Denmark (40%).
The share of enterprises advertising online amounted to 23% in Latvia and 24% in Estonia. The EU average was 25%.
77% of all Lithuanian businesses had a website and 45% used social media.
