Industrial confidence in Estonia declines by 8% on month in November

The industrial confidence indicator in Estonia was -6 points in November, which marks a decline of 8 points from October and an improvement of 4 points compared with November 2015, the Estonian Institute of Economic Research said LETA/BNS.

Production expectations for the next three months meanwhile deteriorated by 14 points on month, measuring -12 points. By comparison, the respective indicator for November 2015 was -16 points.


The outlook on inventories was -3 in November, -7 in October and -4 in November 2015.


The outlook on current demand decreased by 6 points to -10. A year earlier it was -18 points.


Confidence of the construction sector deteriorated by 2 points to -5. In November 2015 it was -16 points.


Builders' expectations of their order portfolio decreased by 1 point to -9 points. The respective indicator for November 2015 was -21 points.


Construction enterprises' expectations of employee numbers weakened by 2 points m-o-m to 0 points, compared to -10 points a year earlier.
