Estonian consumer confidence somewhat improves in September

Estonian consumer confidence showed a month-on-month improvement of 1 point in September, measuring -5 points; in September 2015 the confidence indicator was -7 points, the Estonian Institute of Economic Research said LETA/BNS.

The assessment of labor market opportunities was 11 points, down by 1 point from August. In September 2015 the indicator was 13 points.


The expectations for the country's economic situation in the next 12 months rose by 3 points to 0. By way of comparison, the indicator stood at -4 points in the same month last year.


Consumers' assessments of the economic situation of their household in the next 12 months improved by 1 point to 5 points. In September 2015 the indicator was 3 points.


The assessment of the likelihood of saving money was -16 points, a decline of 4 points compared to August. In September last year the indicator was -14 points.
