Industrial confidence in Estonia slightly declines in September

The industrial confidence indicator in Estonia was 6 points in September, which marks a decline of 2 point from August and an improvement of 11 points compared with September 2015, the Estonian Institute of Economic Research said, writes LETA/ BNS.

Production expectations for the next three months meanwhile deteriorated by 9 points on month, measuring 15 points. By comparison, the respective indicator for September 2015 was 4 points.


The outlook on inventories was -3 in September, -6 in August and -2 in September 2015.

The outlook on current demand improved by 4 point to -1. A year earlier it was -20 points.

Confidence of the construction sector improved by 2 points to 2. In September 2015 it was -21 points.


Builders' expectations of their order portfolio improved by 8 points to -2 points. The respective indicator for September 2015 was -31 points.


Construction enterprises' expectations of employee numbers weakened by 4 points month-on-month to 6 points, compared to -10 points a year earlier.
