Lithuania's industry grows 1.8% to EUR 11.9 b in Jan-Aug y/y

Industrial production and sales in Lithuania grew by 1.8% to 11.9 bln euros in the first eight months of 2016 year-on-year, Statistics Lithuania said on Wednesday. Seasonally- and workday-adjusted industrial growth rate was 1.5%, report LETA/BNS.
In August versus July, the country's industrial production
and sales lost 0.8% to 1.49 bln euros, while seasonally- and workday-adjusted
rate indicated decline by 2%.
y-o-y, mining, quarrying and manufacturing
output grew by a workday-unadjusted 1.7% and by a workday-adjusted 1.8% in
January through August.
According to the press release, manufacturing output alone
increased by 1.8% (1.7%), while manufacturing output excluding refined oil
products rose by 4.4% and 3.9%, respectively.
