The producer price index of industrial output decreased in July in Estonia

According to Statistics Estonia, in July 2016, the producer price index of industrial output changed by -0.3% compared to June 2016 and by -1.0% compared to July 2015.

In July, compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by a decrease in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and in mining, but also by an increase in prices in the manufacture of electronic equipment, fuel oils and chemicals.


Compared to July 2015, the producer price index was more than average influenced by a decrease in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, in mining and in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products, but also by an increase in prices in the manufacture of electronic equipment.

In July, compared to the previous month, the prices of peat products, oil products and parts and accessories for motor vehicles decreased more than average, while the prices of electricity, building materials and electronic equipment increased more than average.


In July 2016, the import price index changed by -0.8% compared to June 2016 and by -3.4% compared to July 2015.
