Lithuania rises to No. 29 in World Bank's Logistics Performance Index, Latvia dropped to No. 43

Lithuania this year rose to number 29 in the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index, from 46th position previously, the Transport Ministry said on Thursday

Latvia dropped to 43rd place, from 36th, and Estonia moved up to 38th, from 39th. Poland fell to 33rd position, from 33rd.


Finland rose to 15th place, from 24th. Russia ranks 99th and Belarus ranks 120th.  China is two places higher than Lithuania.


Lithuania has an overall score of 3.63 with its highest score in Timeliness, at 4.14, and its lowest score in Customs, at 3.42.


The top ten ranking countries in the index are Germany, Luxembourg, Sweden, the Netherlands, Singapore, Belgium, Austria, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and the United States.


The LPI 2016 ranks 160 countries on six dimensions, including customs performance, infrastructure quality and timeliness of shipments.
