Estonians expect salaries to raise 3.8% by October

Print versionAccording to the results of a survey carried out by the Salary Information Agency, Estonian companies' employees are forecasting a 3.8-% rise in salaries by October, which means that the median net salary is to increase to 830 euros, reports LETA/BNS.

The employees' median net salary was 800 euros in April. Last April it totaled 768 euros, which means that the year-on-year increase totaled 4.2%.
The median pay expectation of employees has grown 9.1% on year –- from 1,100 to 1,200 euros, being on the same level than in October.
The survey was carried out in May, and in the course of it 10,773 employees, 1,829 job seekers as well as representatives of 380 organizations were interviewed.
The agency conducts such a survey twice a year – in the spring and fall.
