Exports decreased in all 3 Baltic states in 4 months

All three Baltic States saw a decline in exports in the first four months of 2016, as compared with the same period last year, figures from the EU statistical office Eurostat showed on June 15th, cites LETA/BNS.

Lithuanian exports lost 1% to 7 billion euros in the January-April period of 2016 year-on-year, while Latvia's exports dropped by 6% to 3.3 billion euros and Estonian exports went down 1% to 3.8 billion euros.

 

Over the period, Lithuanian imports fell by 5% to 7.6 billion euros and Latvia's by 5% to 3.9 billion euros, while Estonia observed an increase by 3% to 4.4 billion euros.

 

Trade deficit in all three Baltic countries was at the same level of 0.6 billion euros in the three states this year.
