Latvia posts EU's smallest decrease in industrial production in April
Malta registered the largest decrease in industrial production year-on-year – by 3.6%, followed by Luxembourg with 2.5%, and Lithuania with 1.3%.
Meanwhile, the largest increase was registered in Slovakia – by 7.2%, followed by Poland with 5.9%, Slovenia – 5.3%, and Hungary with 5.2%.
In Estonia, the industrial production volume rose by 0.8% in April.
Industrial production in April in the EU increased by 2.5% when compared to April 2015, but in the eurozone the rise was 2%.
Meanwhile, compared to the previous month, or March 2016, industrial production in the EU increased by 1.3%, but in the eurozone – by 1.1%.
The biggest month-on-month rise was registered in Ireland (6.7%), Portugal (6.4%) and Estonia (1.4%), and the largest reduction was posted in Croatia (2.8%), Lithuania (2.7%), and Latvia (2%).
