The producer price index of Estonian industrial output decreased by 0.3% in April

According to Statistics Estonia, in April 2016, the producer price index of industrial output changed by –0.3% compared to March 2016 and by –1.7% compared to April 2015.

In April, compared to the previous month, the producer price index was more than average influenced by a decrease in prices in the manufacture of food products, fuel oils and in the manufacture of parts and accessories for motor vehicles, but also by an increase in prices in the manufacture of wood products and electronic equipment.

 

Compared to April 2015, the producer price index was more than average influenced by a decrease in prices in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and in the manufacture of fuel oils and food products, but also by an increase in prices in the manufacture of electronic equipment.

In April 2016, the export price index changed by 0.8% compared to March 2016 and by –2.5% compared to April 2015.

 

In April, compared to the previous month, the prices of oil products, beverages, agricultural and wood products increased more than average, while the prices of peat products, building materials and furniture decreased more than average.

 

In April 2016, the import price index changed by 1.0% compared to March 2016 and by –5.1% compared to April 2015.

 

In April, compared to the previous month, the prices of oil products, building materials and leather and leather products increased more than average, while the prices of textile products and metals decreased more than average.
