39% Estonian residents 39use mobile internet in their computer, which is one-tenth more than at the same time last year and in 2014, a survey by Turu-uuringute AS indicates, reports LETA/BNS.

According to the survey, 33% of users of mobile internet use it in a laptop or desktop computer and 18% in a tablet. 12% of the population, or one-third of the users of the service, use mobile internet both in a computer and in a smartphone. 38% of mobile telephone users meanwhile do not use any kind of mobile internet. That indicator has dropped by 8% from 2015 and by 14% in two years.

"There's quite a lot for mobile operators to be striving toward," Elisa Estonia board member Andrus Hiiepuu said, adding that there are still enough potential customers of mobile internet. Hiiepuu said the mobile internet service in Estonia is getting better all the time and is offering customers the same quality and speed of connection as broadband.

The survey also indicates that of the people who are not users of mobile internet now 7% are planning to become users in the next six months.

Turu-uuringute AS carried out the survey on mobile internet in February by interviewing 2,000 people.
