Print versionThe unemployment level in Latvia could reduce to 8.7% this year, informs LETA, according to projections from the Economy Ministry.

According to a macroeconomic report from the ministry, the situation in the job market continues to improve, however, due to the negative demographic situation, these improvements will be more moderate going forward.
In 2016, there will be a 1% increase in the number of employed persons in the country when compared to the previous year.
At the same time, the employment level is expected to exceed 62% this year and reach 905,000 persons.
