Amount of fuel sold in Latvia is up

The amount of fuel sold in Latvia in the first 11 months of 2015 reached 1.16 mln. tons, or by 22,969 tons or 2.02 % more from the respective period in 2014, according to the information provided by the excise goods authority of the Latvian State Revenue Service (VID), reported LETA.

There was an increase in sales of fuel sold in retail trade and fuel used for own consumption and other purposes, while sales of fuel sold in wholesale and sales of marked fuel declined.

 

In the first 11 months of 2015 sales of diesel fuel amounted to 743,856 tons, sales of biogasoline amounted to 167,982 tons, and sales of fuel to farmers reached 89,783 tons.

 

In November 2015 compared to November 2014 sales of fuel declined by 839 tons or 0.88 % to 94,454 tons.

 

The amount of fuel sold in retail trade in Latvia in the first 11 months of 2015 grew by 7.37 % year-on-year to 768,098 tons.

 

Compared to the first 11 months of 2014, retail sales of diesel fuel in January-November last year increased by 11.93 % to 503,503 tons, retail sales of gasoline rose by 2.41 % to 18,200 tons. Retail sales of biofuel declined 0.56 % to 161,200 tons.
