Turnover of retail trade and catering enterprises in Lithuania decreased slightly in August

Statistics Lithuania informs that, based on provisional data, in August 2015, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises* amounted to EUR 801.6 million; against July, it decreased by 0.2% at constant prices (seasonally and working day adjusted – decreased by 0.1%).

Over the month, the turnover of enterprises trading in food products increased by 0.7%; meanwhile, the turnover of enterprises trading in non-food products decreased by 1.4, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – by 0.1% at constant prices.

 

In August 2015, against August 2014, the turnover (VAT excluded) of retail trade enterprises increased by 6% at constant prices (working day adjusted – by 5.4%). The turnover of enterprises trading in food products increased by 5.8, of those trading in non-food products – by 5.5, of those engaged in retail trade in automotive fuels – by 7.6% at constant prices.

 

In August 2015, the turnover (VAT excluded) of food and beverage service enterprises amounted to EUR 49.4 million and, against July, decreased by 2.2% at constant prices (seasonally and working day adjusted – grew by 1%). Compared to August 2014, the turnover of enterprises engaged in the said activities grew by 6.3% at constant prices (working day adjusted – by 6.4%).
