In July, prices of exported goods in Lithuania decreased by 1.4%, for imported – by 1.3%

In July 2015, compared with June 2015, prices of exported goods in Lithuania decreased by 1.4%, while prices of imported goods decreased by 1.3%, reports LETA/ELTA.

According to Statistics Lithuania, the aggregate change in prices of exported goods was mostly influenced by the decrease in prices of refined petroleum products by 8.1%, chemical and chemical products by 1.7%, food products by 0.7% as well as the increase in prices of agricultural products by 3.2%, computers, electronics and optical products by 0.7%.

 

The aggregate change in prices of imported goods was mostly influenced by the decrease in prices of crude oil and natural gas by 6.8%, machinery and equipment not elsewhere classified by 1.2% as well as the increase in prices of leather and leather products by 6.3%, other mining and quarrying products by 3.1%, fish and other fisheries products by 3.5%.

 

In July 2015 compared with June 2015, prices of the following exported goods decreased the most: crude oil by 12.9%, consumer electronics by 7.1% and waste by 4.8%. Meanwhile, prices of the following products increased the most: perennial crops by 11.9%, computer and peripheral equipment by 6.5%, live animals and products of animal origin by 5.3%.

 

Of the imported goods, prices of crude oil decreased by 7.8%, waste by 4.9% and special-purpose machinery by 3.5%. Prices of footwear grew by 8.2%, other mining and quarrying products by 3.6%, man-made fibres by 2.8%.

 

In July 2015 compared with June 2015, prices of goods imported from the euro area countries dropped by 0.3%, from third countries – by 2%.

 

In a year, July 2015 compared with July 2014, prices of exported goods fell by 4.5%, while prices of imported goods fell by 7.3%.

 

Of the exported goods prices of crude oil decreased the most – by 37.7%, refined petroleum products by 28.3%, motor vehicles by 21.6%. Meanwhile, prices of consumer electronics increased by 38.3%, computers and peripheral equipment by 31.7%, other chemical products by 20.9%.

 

Of the imported goods, prices of crude oil decreased the most – by 34.4%, natural gas by 27.6%, electricity by 20.7%. Meanwhile, prices of other mining and quarrying products grew by 25.3%, sports equipment by 10.4%, perennial crops by 10.2%.

 

In a year, prices of goods imported from the euro area countries fell by 0.7%, from third countries – by 11.8%.
