Zero inflation predicted for September in Lithuania

Print versionStatistics Lithuania reports that in September 2015 compared with August, monthly inflation based on the harmonised index of consumer prices (HICP) is likely to stand at 0%, informs LETA/ELTA.

According to Statistics Lithuania, annual inflation in September may be negative and stand at –1.4%. The average annual inflation may be negative as well and account for –0.6%.
In August 2015, annual inflation was negative (-1%), the average annual inflation was also negative (-0.5%).
It is likely that prices of majority of goods and services in September will not change significantly and will have little impact on the HICP dynamics.
