ECB revises down eurozone growth outlook

BC, Riga, 04.09.2015.Print version
The European Central Bank revises down the growth outlook for the 19-member eurozone amid a slump in demand from the world's leading emerging economies, notably China, reports DPA/LETA.

The currency will grow by 1.4% this year – down from the 1.5% the bank forecast in both June and March, ECB chief Mario Draghi says.

Growth will then accelerate to 1.7% next year before edging up to 1.8% in 2017.

But this is lower than the 1.9% and 2% the bank forecast three months ago for 2016 and 2017 respectively.
