Of which in mining and quarrying there was a drop of 12.8%, in manufacturing – of 1.9%, and in electricity and gas supply – of 0.3%.

Compared to May 2014 industrial production volume in May 2015 (according to calendar adjusted data at constant prices) grew by 6.5%, of which in mining and quarrying – by 1.1% and in manufacturing – by 8.5%, while electricity and gas supply witnessed a decrease of 0.9%.

The largest growth in May 2015 compared to the corresponding period of the previous year was registered in manufacture of basic metals. Growth was also recorded in manufacture of chemicals and chemical products – of 24.8%, in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products – of 19.2%, in manufacture of furniture – of 11.4%, and in manufacture of wood and of products of wood – of 2.7%.

In turn, production drop was observed in manufacture of wearing apparel – of 15.9%, in manufacture of textiles – of 12%, in manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products – of 5.7%, and in manufacture of food products – of 5.5%.
