132,700 foreign tourists used the services of accommodation establishments which was 5% fewer than in April 2014. The number of foreign tourists has decreased in all four months of 2015 compared to the same month of the previous year. 68% of foreign tourists using the services of accommodation establishments came from the neighbouring countries Finland, Russia and Latvia. Compared to April 2014, 8% fewer tourists from these countries were accommodated. The number of tourists from Latvia increased 7%, but there were 38% fewer tourists from Russia and 3% fewer tourists from Finland than in April 2014. Compared to April of the previous year, there was an increase in the number of tourists arriving from the following main tourism partner countries of Estonia: Lithuania (9%), Germany (6%) and the United Kingdom (16%). There was a 41% increase in the number of tourists from Asian countries compared to April 2014.

37% of the clients of accommodation establishments were domestic tourists. In April, 76,700 domestic tourists stayed in accommodation establishments, which was 10% more than in April of the previous year. 59% of the domestic tourists were on a holiday trip and 28% were on a business trip. A third of the domestic tourists stayed in the accommodation establishments of Harju county, 14% in Pärnu county and 12% in Tartu county. Compared to April 2014, more domestic tourists stayed in the accommodation establishments of these counties.

In April, 918 accommodation establishments offered services for tourists. 18,400 rooms and 40,700 beds were available for tourists. 41% of the rooms and 32% of the beds were occupied. The average cost of a guest night was 34 euros, which was a euro more expensive than in April 2014. The average cost of a guest night was higher than the Estonian average in Harju county where it cost 38 euros. The average cost of a guest night was 29 euros in Pärnu county and 32 euros in Tartu county.
