In Q1, GDP in Latvia increased just by 0.4%

In the 1st quarter of 2015, compared with the 4th quarter of 2014, Gross Domestic Product (GDP) value (seasonally adjusted data) increased by 0.4%, according to flash estimate of the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB).

In the 1st quarter of 2015, compared with the corresponding period of 2014, according to seasonally adjusted data, GDP rose by 2.1%. According to seasonally unadjusted data, GDP growth comprised 2.0%.

 

The GDP increase was affected by rise in manufacturing by 4% and in services sector (without trade) – by 2%. Value added in trade remained at the level of 1st quarter of 2014. Construction production volume reduced by 1%.
