EUR 625.64 a month per family member would be enough to get by for the Latvian

On the average, residents believe that EUR 625.64 a month per family member would be sufficient to get by, according to the latest "DNB Latvia Barometer" study, reports LETA.

The survey aimed to find out the amount of income per family member, after tax, which should be enough for a family in Latvia to get by.

 

The average amount indicated by respondents is EUR 625.64. The majority, 21%, said EUR 500. 24% of respondents mentioned amounts larger than the average monthly salary in Latvia – EUR 765, whereas 15% said they would get by with EUR 300 per family member.



 

In 2010, the average amount indicated by respondents was EUR 475.84, in 2012 – EUR 517.23.


"DNB Latvijas barometrs" is carried out on a monthly basis. The survey is made up of two parts of poll questions – one that is constant and featured in every survey, and the other that deals with the latest developments in Latvia.

 

The latest survey was carried out from March 13 to 26, interviewing 1,003 respondents.
