0.4% deflation predicted for Lithuania in April

Print versionStatistics Lithuania forecasts that the country's monthly inflation in April 2015, measured by the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) is likely to be positive and amount to 0.4%, compared to March, cites LETA/ELTA.

The annual inflation in April is likely to be negative and stand at –0.9%, while the average annual inflation is also likely to be negative and account for –0.3% (in March 2015 the annual inflation was negative and stood at –1.1%, while the average annual inflation was –0.2%).
The inflation in April 2015 is likely to be driven by increasing prices of apparel and footwear.
