The Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) in the euro area increased from 102.3 points in February to 103.9 points in March 2015, the European Commission announced on Monday, cites LETA.

This is the highest indicator since July 2011, when the index registered 104 points.

The European Commission indicates that the improvement in the euro area sentiment was fuelled by brightening confidence among consumers, and managers in retail trade, services, construction and, particularly, industry.
