In EU, industrial production increased by 1.5% in January

In January 2015 compared with January 2014, industrial production volume in Latvia reduced by 3.5%, which is the third largest decrease among all the European Union (EU) member states for which data are available, according to latest information provided by Eurostat.

In Lithuania, industrial production in January 2015, compared with January 2014, increased by 3.2%, but in Estonia – by 1.8%.

 

The largest decrease was registered in Croatia – 4.9%, followed by Finland – 4.2%.

 

The largest increase in industrial production in January 2015, compared with January 2014, was registered in Ireland – 8.8%, Malta – 8.1%, and Hungary – 7.8%.

 

Industrial production in January 2015, compared with January 2014, decreased in six countries and increased in 13.

 

In all EU member states, for which data are available, industrial production increased by 1.5% in January, but in the eurozone – by 1.2%.
