Latvia's exports in first 10 months of 2014 up by 1%, Estonia and Lithuania’s exports down

Latvia's exports in the first ten months of the 2014 increased by 1% when compared with the same period of the previous year, according to Eurostat, cites LETA.

Just like Latvia, exports in Denmark, Austria and Slovakia also increased 1%, year-on-year.

 

The steepest increase in export was recorded in Croatia – 8%, as well as the Czech Republic and Romania – by 7% each.

 

The steepest decreases in export were registered in Malta – 24%, and Cyprus – by 10%.

 

Meanwhile, Lithuania saw a 1% reduction in exports, while Estonia registered a 3% reduction.

 

Latvia's imports reduced 3% in January-October, year-on-year.

 

The largest year-on-year decreases in import was registered in Latvia, followed by Italy – by 2%.

 

Meanwhile, the largest increase in imports was registered in Cyprus – by 10%, and Ireland – 8%.

 

Estonia saw a 1% reduction in imports, while in Lithuania it remained unchanged.
