Forbes ranks Estonia as 22nd best country for business; highest among Baltics

Print versionBusiness magazine Forbes has ranked Latvia 36th on a list of the "Best Countries for Business". Out of all three Baltic States, Estonia had the highest position – 22nd, followed by Lithuania – 24th, writes LETA.
Latvia scored highest in category "Trade Freedom" – 9th. In categories "Tax Burden" and "Property Rights" Latvia was 23rd and 30th respectively.
Meanwhile, the lowest score for Latvia was registered in category "Market Performance" – 77th, followed by "Innovation" – 69th, and "Property Rights" – 51st.
Denmark was evaluated by Forbes as the best country for business, followed by Hong Kong, New Zealand, Ireland, and Canada.
