Portal Meduza blocked in Kazakhstan

Print versionAlready on the second day the online media site Meduza was launched in Latvia, the portal was blocked in Kazakhstan, according to a post in the project's "Twitter" profile, cites LETA.

One of Meduza editors, Ilya Krasilshchik, told portal "Vlast" that the site was probably blocked due to Ilya Azar's article about the city of Oskemen (Ust-Kamenogorsk) in Kazakhstan, which was published on Monday.
Krasilshchik indicated that the site was blocked very fast.
As reported, former chief editor of the Russian news site Lenta.ru, Galina Timchenko, officially launched her project Meduza on October 20. The project was registered in Latvia to avoid Russia's censorship.
