Facebook has ousted other social networks in Estonia

Print versionA polling company GfK and marketing agency PRB study indicated that Facebook has ousted other social networks on the internet among Estonians, LETA/Õhtuleht online reports.

65% of Estonian web users visit Facebook at least once a week. 80% of the visitors are up to 39 years old, 60% of up to 65-year-olds use it.
The second-most popular environment is YouTube, which is visited at least once a week by 61% of web users and 83% of people up to the age of 29.
Other social networks are used far less frequently. Just 5% of people use Twitter at least once a week. The once hugely popular rate.ee is also visited by 5% of Internet users a week and Orkut has even fewer weekly visitors.
During the web poll, 574 people in the age of 15-65 were polled.
