BC, Tallinn, 04.02.2016.Print version
NAS Electronics, subsidiary of the Norwegian electronics manufacturer Nordic Automation Systems AS, is set to start manufacturing at its Saaremaa plant at full capacity in February 2016 and intends to start selling its solutions for electrical and pneumatic tools in Scandinavia, Germany and the UK soon, informs LETA/BNS.

Karel Kask, sales manager for Nordic Automation Systems, told BNS on Wednesday the company entered into a contract with a Swedish partner in January to sell its product called Tool Monitoring System there. The distributing partner in Sweden is WER-agenturer AB, partner to the parent company of NAS.

Kask said their product has been received well an interest toward it is growing.

Active communication is now going on with retailers and clients in Finland, Norway, Germany, Denmark and the UK.

The manufacturing plant of NAS Electronics was completed last fall and at present it mainly provides assembly of electronics to different Estonian companies as a subcontractor with a staff of seven people. Its main product, Tool Monitoring System, takes up only a small portion of the plant's capacity now because developing of manufacturing equipment is time intensive and entails a lot of specifics.

"Engineers are in the final stages with the development of the equipment, meaning that we will be able to start manufacturing at full capacity by the end of February," Kask said.

Simultaneously engineers are developing a tool monitoring service for the construction sector.

"It enables construction companies to get theft of tools under control, prevent theft and monitor the presence of tools at different worksites, in worksite containers and even vehicles," Kask said, adding that the company is doing market research now and has found the first potential partners to whom to offer a demo version of the product.
