Cert.lv in 5 years has trained 19,000 people in IT security

Latvian IT Security Incidents Response Institution Cert.lv in the past five years has trained almost 19,000 people – IT security specialists, students, pupils, public servants – in IT security issues, Cert.lv representatives informed LETA.

According to the institution, Cert.lv has organized 286 events. Also, every year the institution handles 3,500 high priority IT security incidents and 310,000 low priority incidents on average.

 

In the five years, the institution has also developed such services and brands as esidross.lv Internet portal, security experts group (DEG), initiative for the safer Internet environment Atbildigs IPS (Responsible Internet Service Provider), Esi Dross (Be Safe) seminar and IT security conference.

 

Cert.lv was established five years ago and is a structural unit of the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Latvia.

 

Cert.lv maintains common electronic information space monitoring, provides support in IT security incident prevention or coordinates their prevention, maintains in a publicly accessible way in line with the actual threats recommendations on the current IT risks.
