Latvia's Digital Mind acquires part of Estonian Nortal business

Latvian IT company Digital Mind has acquired a part of Estonia's largest IT company Nortal and has started operations in the Estonian market, said Digital Mind marketing head Janis Polis, cites LETA.

He said that Digital Mind and Nortal have signed an agreement on acquisition of all assets related with sales, application and support of OpenText and Kofax software.

 

As a result of the transaction, the company's representation in Estonia – Digital Mind Estonia – from January 15 has taken over and serve the agreements signed with Eesti Telekom, Omniva, the Estonian Central Bank, Danske Bank and other Estonian companies and state institutions.

 

Digital Mind has become the only partner and distributor of the world's leader in enterprise information management software, OpenText Corporation, in Latvia and Estonia.

 

Three leading OpenText software experts who so far worked in NortalKeit Kivisild, Hando Penu and Raul Reiska – have become the co-owners of Digital Mind Estonia (Digital Organization OU).

 

The company plans to considerably increase its business in Estonia.

 

Digital Mind board chairman Rinalds Sluckis said that the deal is a step closer to implementation of the company's long-term strategic vision – to become one of the leading enterprise information management and business analysis solutions provider to companies in the Baltic region.

 

Nortal is an international software and business consulations company operating in ten countries and employing 550 specialists across the world.

 

Digital Mind, founded in 2005, is a Latvian business technologies company, the official distributor of OpenText, IBM, Optimal Systems, Software AG and Kofax software, developer of mobile enterprise information management application "SeeCM".

 

Digital Mind currently employs 23 experts. The company's sales in 2015 reached EUR 1.8 million. According to Firmas.lv business database, the company's turnover in 2014 was EUR 1.6 million, while its profit reached EUR 150,506.
