Darguzaite becomes Head of Barclays Technology Centre Lithuania

Milda Darguzaite was appointed Head of Barclays Technology Centre Lithuania (BTCL), reports LETA/ELTA.

In January 2015, Darguzaite started working at Barclays headquarters in London and held the position of Director of the Global Technology Infrastructure Services (GTIS). She contributed to the global GTIS transformation, implementing new effective management and technology strategies, as well as ensuring that Barclays would become the best provider of financial technology services.

 

Darguzaite will assume her new duties on 30 March and will replace Mariano Andrade Gonzalez, Acting Director of BTLC who was appointed in October 2014. Gonzales will continue working as Head of Barclays Global Human Resources Service Centre in Lithuania.

 

Since its establishment in 2009, BTCL has grown rapidly and has become an integral part of the international Barclays bank. BTCL is an employer to over a thousand of people.

 

For 7 years, Darguzaite had worked in American investment banking firm Goldman Sachs. She was the vice president and co-head of the Strategic Asset Allocation Team. Before that she had worked as an analyst of the Investment Banking Department at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. She also headed investment development agency Invest Lithuania and was advisor to the minister of economy.
