Bankruptcy trustees of Coal Terminal, Tallinna Sadam reach compromise
29.06.2020he bankruptcy trustees of bankrupt AS Coal Terminal, private limited company Charboun Invest, a shareholder of Coal Terminal, and listed Estonian port company Tallinna Sadam on Monday entered into a compromise, as a result of which the claims of all creditors of Coal Terminal are restructured, the parties shall terminate all pending litigation and waive any claims against each other and Coal Terminal shall be liquidated, informs LETA/BNS.
In May, annual retail trade in Latvia fell by 0.6%, monthly grew by 7.8%
29.06.2020Calendar adjusted data (at constant prices) compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that, compared to May 2019, in May 2020 total retail trade turnover reduced by 0.6%. Turnover of retail trade in food products grew by 1.6%. Retail trade in non-food products (except for retail sale of automotive fuel) decreased by 3.9%, but turnover of retail sale of automotive fuel – increased by 3.3%.

Fire broke out at Biolar chemical plant in Latvian Olaine
A fire broke out in a hangar at Latvia's Biolar chemical plant in the central Latvian town of Olaine on June 29th, the State Fire and Rescue Service informed LETA, noting that local residents have been instructed to stay away from the burning structure.
More and more men receiving parental benefit in Estonia
According to Statistics Estonia, 27,989 women and 3,920 men received parental benefit in Estonia in 2019. The average monthly parental benefit paid to men was a third higher than that paid to women.
