After the massive success of the "Vilnius - the G-spot of Europe" campaign, the Lithuanian capital is following its own footsteps and launching a new campaign, titled "Vilnius: Amazing Wherever You Think It Is." The campaign, which has a goal to celebrate all the amazing aspects of the city, is aimed at drawing tourists to visit Vilnius by making fun at how unknown the city is for most people outside the country.

Provisional data of 2018 show that average gross earnings of females were 14.1% smaller than those of males, which is the lowest indicator registered since 2012. In 2017, females per hour earned on average 15.7% less than males. Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) estimate shows that the greatest gender pay gap (17.3%) was recorded in 2014.

Latvia: In 2019 retail trade turnover grew by 2.3%

Calendar adjusted data (at constant prices) compiled by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) show that, compared to 2018, in 2019 total retail trade turnover rose by 2.3%. Turnover of retail trade in food products increased by 1.2 %, turnover of retail trade in non-food products, except for retail sale of automotive fuel, rose by 4.0%, whereas turnover of retail sale of automotive fuel – by 0.4%.
