In July, industrial production decreased by 0.3% in Lithuania

Statistics Lithuania informs that in July 2018, based on provisional data, industrial production totalled EUR 1.8 bln at current prices and, compared to June, seasonally and calendar adjusted, decreased by 0.3% at constant prices (unadjusted – by 5.4%).

Today, August 23, Council of Europe’s Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (Moneyval) has published its 5th Round Mutual Evaluation Report on Latvia, which details the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF) measures in place in Latvia for the reporting period to November 2017. Latvian government has welcomed the report, saying it will help guide and direct ongoing reform efforts.

Latvia might face economic consequences if it does not combat money laundering more activey – Moneyval

If latvia does not combat money laundering more actively, the country should be ready to face economic consequences, said Daniel Thelesklaf, the chairman of the Council of Europe’s Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (Moneyval), after the Financial Sector Development Council meeting today, cities LETA.
