The share of compulsory expenditure in Estonian household budget remains unchanged in 2016

According to Statistics Estonia, in 2016, a household member spent an average of 408 euros per month, which is 13 euros more than in 2015. Compulsory expenditure, i.e. unavoidable food and dwelling expenses, accounted for 40% of the household budget, remaining at the level of the previous year.

The listed Estonian shipper Tallink Grupp carried 2.9 million passengers in the third quarter, 2% more than in the same period a year ago. Cargo carriage grew 12.5% to 91,300 units in the third quarter and the number of carried passenger cars declined 7.1% to 353,000 units, Tallink told the stock exchange, cites LETA/BNS.

Local governments to get at least 19.6% revenue to Latvian budget

In the future, total tax revenue of local governments will be at least 19.6% of revenue to the general government consolidated budget, the Latvian Cabinet of Ministers and the Latvian Association of Local Governments agreed on October 2nd cites LETA.
