Electricity rates for households reduced in Latvia since July 1

The recently approved value added tax rate reduction will also apply to the current electricity rates for households which will be reduced on July 1, Nozare.lv was informed Latvenergo representative Ivita Bidere.

VAT rate in Latvia reduced to 21%

The value added tax (VAT) rate will be reduced from the current 22% to 21% as of July 1, 2012, according to amendments on the Law on VAT Rate passed in the final reading by Saeima in May 2012.
