Lithuania and Cyprus discussed readiness to hold EU Council presidency

On June 15-17, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Audronius Azubalis paid an official visit to Nicosia, where he met with the highest ranking officials of Cyprus to discuss readiness of both countries to hold the Presidency of the EU Council, and EU neighbourhood policy issues, reported BC the Lithuanian MFA.

Recent Commission’s report on Latvian economic achievements seems a coincidence: in a couple of months the EU institutions would make a final decision on the country’s accession to eurozone.
